Helena and I met in Prague in 1995 while we were both completing our wine Diplomas. She is a leading figure in Prague wine circles, acting as consultant to the Prague Wine Society. She is also a freelance writer, columnist and translator, wine taster and educator on matters vinous. During the European winter, Helena brightens things up by arranging regular educational wine tours to France and Germany. Helena signed this book (which she translated) at a wine tasting at "Café Amadeus", Kamenny stul Restaurant, Staromestske, Prague 1, Czech Republic on Tuesday, December 2, 1997. She is currently writing her own guide to Czech and Moravian wines.
