Débra Childs and I met at the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1983. We were married in
Pretoria in March 1995. Following our move to Prague, we both got onto the Internet for the first
time; soon thereafter I started trading messages with
Donald Massyn.
Don and I own the same model of BMW motorcycle - the R80GS - and met on the internet "GS-List". After we had "got to know" each other by e-mail, we met in South Africa in real life, and have subsequently developed a real friendship. We now share a circle of friends (in South Africa and beyond), and ride with each at least once a year.
In July 1999 Don visited Débra and I in Prague. This is our account of our wild ride from the Czech Republic, through the Slovak Republic, down into Hungary and back. It was an EXCELLENT trip, and I'm sure you'll enjoy the trip report!! Don and I shared the writing on this trip report, much of it happening "in the field", late at night, and after far too many "refreshments"!
