It all happened on Thursday, December 5, 2002...

That afternoon I was at my mom's place in Pretoria talking shit with her and Hartmut. Helga was driving past on the way to her gynaecologist, saw Hartmut's R80GS, and decided to pop in to say hello. Just a few hours later she gave birth!! Here's the last picture of pregnant Helga with Hartmut and his GS.

So Alex Watson was born! It's great to think that after listening to Hartmut and I for just half an hour he decided to change his life and to face the real world!! ;-) On Sunday, December 8, 2002 I saw the kid for the first time at a braai at Briget & John's place. Here are some snaps that I took that afternoon in a highly hungover state.

UND...Uncle Axel was also visiting from Berlin in the frozen North!
